Do want.
Just sayin’.

At every race I make it a point to shout a quick thanks to the volunteers, especially at the water stations. Many Runners forget how important the volunteers are and take them for granted, giving no more importance to them than any other spectator. In truth, they are an essential element to a great race. Today I ran a 37:33 10k, placed 1st in age group, and took 9th overall. Thank you.
Holy crap that’s fast.
On another note, I also always say thanks to every volunteer that hands me a drink. I also try to nod, or wave, or something to the cops that close down the roads and keep cars from making me a blonde splat on the pavement.
